Become a Certified Infant Massage Instructor
By becoming a Certified Infant Massage Instructor, you have the unique opportunity to help parents and caregivers to bond with their babies through the use of an age old tradition –INFANT MASSAGE. The International Association of Infant Massage’s professional Trainers and Instructors worldwide experience great joy in sharing the art of infant massage with others. Teaching Infant Massage is a rewarding opportunity, promoting well being and enhancing bonding and attachment between infants and their caregivers. Through working as an Infant Massage Instructor, you have the special opportunity to impact an infant and their family for a lifetime.
This professional training is for those interested in working with families. By becoming an Infant Massage Instructor, you will be recognized worldwide with the International Association of Infant Massage headquartered in Sweden which has representatives worldwide in over 50 countries.
One of the following entrance requirements must be filled:
*Have a recognised diploma in Massage, Physiotherapy or other related qualification or
*Be a qualified health professional, occupational therapist, nutrition, nurse, midwife, doula or background in educational psychology or
*Work in an educational setting with children or
*Anyone who passionately believes in spreading the importance of nurturing touch.
What are the course requirements?
*The participants must attend the 4 day intensive training
*Completion of the open book home assignment study after the course
*Completion of 5 teaching sessions with families (with evaluations) outside the course
*Signing of the IAIM agreement
Subjects that will be covered include:
*Infant cues, infant crying & behaviour states
*Massage techniques for infants
*Parental attitudes to touch
*Guidelines for the use of oils
*Teaching, communication, group facilitation skills
*Benefits of infant massage
*Child development & adapting the techniques
*Understanding & valuing parents
*Working with special situations
*Practice sessions of teaching massage to parents
The next TRAINING COURSE will be held in NICOSIA, Cyprus, and will run for 4 consecutive days.
The next Infant Massage Certification Course will be held as follows:
Date: May 3rd, May 4th, May 5th & May 6th, 2020 (4 days all inclusive)

Time: 09:00 to 17:30 daily

Price: EUR 550. Included in the price is the 4 day training, Books, Manuals, Compendium, Oil, Snacks, and IAIM Membership for the first year

- To those who pay the full amount by 31.03.2020 the cost of training is EUR 510..
-A baby doll is required for the course (60cm in length approximately with soft body). You can bring your own or should you wish to order one from us please let us know one month in advance. Cost of baby dolls range between EUR 65 and EUR 95 depending on the weight.
